Rant: Seriously?! Another BS All-Hands About 'Record Profits'?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THIS?! We just had another company-wide meeting where they patted themselves on the back about how amazing the profits are, how we're 'innovating', and how 'grateful' they are for our hard work. Meanwhile, the stress levels are through the roof, people are working insane hours, and the coffee machine in the breakroom hasn't been fixed in three weeks. If we're doing so freaking well, why are we constantly short-staffed and being asked to do the work of three people? Seriously considering dusting off my resume. This whole 'we're a family' act is getting really old, especially when it feels like they'd happily throw us under the bus to save a few bucks. Rant over (for now).

I hear you loud and clear. It's infuriating when companies brag about profits while simultaneously squeezing every last drop out of their employees. I used to work for a place that did the exact same thing. Management got bonuses, we got pizza... if we were lucky. Don't let them gaslight you. Your burnout is real, and their 'gratitude' doesn't pay the bills. Start documenting the extra hours and uncompensated work you're doing. It might be helpful later.

Profit doesn't always trickle down, unfortunately. While innovation and record profits are good for shareholders, it seems the workforce isn't necessarily benefiting. Have you considered organizing a collective action, even a simple petition, to bring your concerns to management? It might be more effective to address the issue as a group rather than individually. Just a thought.
