Hey, sorry to hear you're stressed. It's never fun when the pressure ramps up. Honestly, 'meets expectations' is often the first target in these situations. I'd say start documenting *everything* you do that saves the company time or money, even small things. Quantify it! "Reduced X by Y%", that sort of thing. Also, volunteer for any extra projects, even if they're slightly outside your comfort zone. Show you're willing to go the extra mile. Good luck, and congrats to you and your wife!
Take a deep breath. These big companies always threaten cuts when numbers dip a little. It's a scare tactic. Six years of 'meets expectations' means you're reliable, not necessarily expendable. Is your manager just riding you, or are other teams feeling it too? If it's widespread, it's probably just corporate theatrics. Focus on doing your job well, document your tasks, and don't let the fear paralyze you. If they *do* cut, severance packages are usually decent at that tenure level. Plus, supply chain experience is hot right now.
