I've heard from former colleagues that Coke's severance is usually tied to tenure, so five years should get you something decent. Don't expect anything amazing, but it won't be as bad as your friend's Pepsi experience. Senior Analyst level might factor in a bit, but tenure is the bigger driver. Definitely ask HR directly if anything official is announced. Good luck!
Take everything you read online with a massive grain of salt. Policies change, and what someone got five years ago may not be relevant today. I'd be polishing up your resume and LinkedIn profile regardless. If they offer outplacement, take it. It might not land you your dream job, but it can help with interview skills and networking. Also, document *everything* now. Performance reviews, emails, anything that could support your value to the company.
