Anyone else feeling uneasy about 'restructuring' rumors in the Northeast Division?

I've been with Comcast for almost 8 years, mostly in field operations in the Northeast Division. Lately, there's been a lot of talk about 'restructuring' and 'efficiency improvements' floating around. My manager is being super vague, which makes me think something's definitely up. Last time they used language like this, a bunch of techs got moved to different territories, and some roles were eliminated. Anyone else hearing similar rumblings in their departments? Trying to gauge how worried I should be about my job security right now. I'm starting to dust off my resume just in case. I’m especially worried about how it will affect my team and my friends.

Yeah, I'm hearing similar things down in the Keystone Region. "Efficiency improvements" is code for layoffs, plain and simple. Start brushing up your resume and networking with former colleagues. Better to be prepared than caught off guard. They always target the field first, it seems.

Honestly, I wouldn't panic *too* much yet. These rumors circulate every few years. Sometimes it's nothing, sometimes it's a minor reshuffling. But it's Comcast; they are always looking for ways to optimize the business. Just keep your head down, do your job well, and avoid getting involved in any office politics. Let them restructure around you!
