Rumors of reorgs in Xfinity division? Anyone have intel?

Posting anonymously here because, you know the drill. Heard some whispers about potential restructuring or reorgs happening within the Xfinity side of things. Not talking about mass layoffs specifically, but more about roles shifting, teams merging, and maybe some positions being made redundant as a result. It's always hard to get concrete details when things are in flux, but the buzz suggests some departments might be feeling the pressure more than others. My direct manager is being super tight-lipped, which is never a good sign. Has anyone else heard anything similar, or perhaps have a clearer picture of what might be happening? Trying to prepare myself and my team for any potential changes. Anything shared would be super helpful. Appreciate any insights.

Anyone else feeling the Comcast chill? Not hearing much but vibes are off.

Hey everyone, just wanted to see if anyone else is picking up on anything at Comcast lately. No official word, no big announcements that I've seen or heard about, but the general atmosphere feels a bit... tense? Been here a few years and usually, you can kind of sense the buzz around things. Lately, it feels quieter, like people are holding their breath a little. Meetings seem a bit more focused on efficiency and cutting costs, which is normal, but it feels amplified right now. I know there's a lot of talk about the industry as a whole, with media companies and others making cuts, but Comcast is such a beast. Trying not to read too much into it, but wanted to see if I'm alone in this feeling. Anyone in different departments or divisions noticing anything similar, or am I just overthinking things? Curious to hear what others are seeing on the ground.

Anyone proactively polishing their resume just in case?

Okay, so nothing official has happened, and I know we're not supposed to panic, but the vibe feels... off. The whispers aren't stopping and with the way the market is, I'm thinking it's better to be prepared than caught flat-footed. I'm in the Media Solutions group, been here 5 years. My manager's been a bit cagey about future projects, which is unusual. Anyone else in a similar boat? What skills are you guys highlighting? Trying to make sure my resume reflects my current contributions but also transferable skills. Might start dusting off my LinkedIn too.

Is anyone else seeing a hiring freeze across departments?

Been hearing a lot of chatter lately about all new requisitions being put on hold, even for critical roles. My team's been trying to backfill a position for months and suddenly it's 'frozen, pending review'. This feels like a soft layoff precursor to me. Anyone else in Engineering or Ops seeing this? I'm in Network Engineering, about 7 years in. Feels like the budget cuts are starting to bite harder than usual. Just trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or if my specific division is being targeted.

Wondering about severance packages if the worst happens...

Okay, trying to stay positive, but the rumors are getting louder, and frankly, Comcast's stock hasn't been doing great. I'm in a mid-level engineering role, been here for 5 years. If layoffs do hit, what are people expecting in terms of severance? Last time there was a significant round (which feels like ages ago now), I heard people got decent packages, but I'm curious about the current climate. Does anyone have any intel on what the typical breakdown is? Like, weeks of pay per year of service? Extended health benefits? Stock options vesting? It's morbid to think about, but I've got a mortgage and kids, and need to be prepared for any eventuality. If anyone has been through this before or has insider knowledge, please share. Trying to get a realistic picture.

Anyone else feeling the pressure? Hearing whispers...

Hey all, been with Comcast in the field tech division for about 7 years now. Lately, things have felt... tense. My manager's been cagey in our one-on-ones, and there's been a noticeable slowdown in new project assignments. Heard some chatter from a buddy in another department about potential restructuring, but nothing concrete. Is anyone else in a similar boat, or am I just overthinking things? My entire team is pretty much long-timers, and the thought of losing this job right now would be brutal. Rent ain't cheap, and the market feels pretty saturated for telecom jobs these days. Just trying to gauge if this is a company-wide vibe or if it's specific to my area. Any insights would be appreciated, trying not to panic here.

Rant: Overworked and undervalued - Feeling the Comcast Burnout

I'm so freaking burned out. I've been with Comcast for 5 years in the sales department, and the pressure to hit targets is insane. It feels like they keep raising the bar every quarter, even though the market is saturated. My manager is constantly breathing down my neck, and the workload is just unsustainable. I'm working late nights and weekends just to keep my head above water. And for what? A measly bonus that barely makes a dent in the stress. Honestly, I'm starting to resent this job. If they're planning layoffs, maybe it would be a blessing in disguise. I need a serious vacation, or a new job... or both. This place is a soul-sucking machine.

Severance Package Question - What to expect?

Hypothetically speaking (though I’m seriously sweating bullets), if Comcast *were* to do layoffs, what's the typical severance package like? I'm in a non-management role, been here for 4 years in the customer service department. I've heard whispers of 2 weeks per year of service, but that seems low compared to what I've seen friends get at other companies. Does anyone have firsthand experience or reliable knowledge about Comcast severance? Also, does unused vacation time get paid out? Any info would be hugely appreciated. Trying to plan ahead (again, hypothetically…mostly).

Anyone else feeling uneasy about 'restructuring' rumors in the Northeast Division?

I've been with Comcast for almost 8 years, mostly in field operations in the Northeast Division. Lately, there's been a lot of talk about 'restructuring' and 'efficiency improvements' floating around. My manager is being super vague, which makes me think something's definitely up. Last time they used language like this, a bunch of techs got moved to different territories, and some roles were eliminated. Anyone else hearing similar rumblings in their departments? Trying to gauge how worried I should be about my job security right now. I'm starting to dust off my resume just in case. I’m especially worried about how it will affect my team and my friends.

Rant: So tired of the constant uncertainty!

Seriously, I'm so over it. Every few months, there's some rumor about layoffs or restructuring at Comcast. It's exhausting! I'm just trying to do my job and provide for my family, but it's hard to focus when I'm constantly worried about losing my job. The lack of transparency is infuriating. They never tell us anything until the very last minute. How are we supposed to plan our lives when we're living under this constant threat? I'm starting to seriously consider looking for another job, even though I like my team. The stress just isn't worth it anymore. Someone needs to light a fire under management to be more transparent with their employees.

Severance package expectations? Need some advice

If the worst happens, and layoffs do hit, what's a reasonable severance package to expect from Comcast? I've been here for 5 years, in a project management role, and I'm trying to get a sense of what my options might be. Is it typically weeks per year of service? Do they usually offer extended benefits? Anyone been through this recently and willing to share some details (anonymously, of course)? Knowing what to expect would really help ease my anxiety right now. I've heard some companies try to lowball people, so I want to be prepared to negotiate if needed.

Heard whispers about 'restructuring' again... anyone else?

Okay, so I've been with Comcast for almost 8 years now, been in the customer service department the whole time. Lately, I've been hearing more and more chatter about a 'restructuring' happening soon. Last time they 'restructured,' it meant a bunch of layoffs, and honestly, I'm starting to get really anxious. My manager has been acting weird too, super vague and avoiding direct questions. Has anyone else heard anything, or am I just being paranoid? Trying to gauge if I should update my resume or just chill out. Maybe it's just the usual end-of-year jitters?
