I've been with Verizon for 12 years, and I'm honestly disgusted with the direction this company is heading. The constant re-orgs, the pointless meetings, the pushing of half-baked projects...it's all so frustrating. They keep talking about 'innovation' but then stifle any real creativity. And the pressure to meet unrealistic deadlines is insane. I'm burning out fast, and honestly, I don't see things getting better anytime soon. Been with Verizon for 7 years as a project manager. Just got the news today. Another round of cuts, apparently. "Restructuring" is the word they used. I feel completely blindsided and honestly, pretty pissed off. Seven years of dedication, good performance reviews, always went above and beyond... and this is how they repay me? The worst part is the way they handled it - a quick 15-minute meeting with HR and my manager, a bunch of corporate jargon, and then escorted out the door. I poured my heart and soul into this job, missed birthdays and anniversaries working late, and for what? I know a lot of you are probably scared, and rightfully so. It sucks. This company doesn't care about its employees, just the bottom line. Rant over.
