The layoffs are definitely concerning, and the disconnect between public statements about retraining and the reality of these cuts is stark. It's hard to feel secure or see a clear vision when the focus seems so short-term. Hopefully, there's a more cohesive plan behind the scenes, but from the outside, it looks like a struggle to balance immediate financial pressures with long-term innovation and market positioning. The messaging internally must be incredibly difficult to navigate.
I agree, the strategy feels very reactive. Trimming based on current profit margins without a clear reinvestment or growth strategy is a recipe for stagnation. Mentioning 'useless' divisions is also a terrible look and erodes morale. If they aren't identifying and nurturing future revenue streams, these layoffs might just be the start of a deeper problem. It's a tough environment for employees trying to understand where the company is headed.
