Just saw the news about another 54 people let go on July 17th, this time in Washington. Seems like Verizon is on a tear lately. I'm still trying to process the last round, and now this. Is anyone else in the WA area getting swept up in this? It's getting really hard to feel secure here. The official reasonings always sound so generic, but it feels like something more is going on under the surface. Are they consolidating teams? Moving work elsewhere? Just feels like a constant cloud hanging over us. Trying to stay positive and focus on my work, but it's tough when you hear about colleagues losing their jobs. Anyone have any insights into what's really happening?

I'm in WA too and saw that article. It's incredibly unsettling to see these layoffs happening so frequently. It makes you question the company's direction and stability, especially when you hear the same vague explanations every time. It's hard not to feel like a number when this keeps happening. I wish there was more transparency about what's actually driving these decisions. We all put in the work, and it's demoralizing to see so many colleagues impacted without a clear understanding of the 'why'.
