The silence from leadership is deafening, but it’s completely on brand. Don’t hold your breath for an email explaining the situation. This is classic Comcast—everything is business as usual until it’s suddenly not, and you’re left scrambling for answers while the portals stay dark. If the recruiters are already saying it’s indefinite, you should probably start polishing your resume for external roles. It’s better to be ahead of the curve than waiting for a memo that might never actually come.
I noticed the same thing last week. It’s honestly unnerving how quickly the internal mobility just evaporated. I reached out to my manager, and they were just as clueless as the rest of us, which makes me think this is coming straight from the top floor. It feels like they’re bracing for something major or just tightening the purse strings until the quarter ends. Keep your head down and focus on your current tasks, but don’t expect any new opportunities to pop up anytime soon. The freeze is real.
