Rant: Overworked and undervalued - Feeling the Comcast Burnout

I'm so freaking burned out. I've been with Comcast for 5 years in the sales department, and the pressure to hit targets is insane. It feels like they keep raising the bar every quarter, even though the market is saturated. My manager is constantly breathing down my neck, and the workload is just unsustainable. I'm working late nights and weekends just to keep my head above water. And for what? A measly bonus that barely makes a dent in the stress. Honestly, I'm starting to resent this job. If they're planning layoffs, maybe it would be a blessing in disguise. I need a serious vacation, or a new job... or both. This place is a soul-sucking machine.

I feel you, man. Used to work in customer service for them. The metrics were impossible, and it was always about selling, selling, selling, even when people just needed their internet fixed. Started getting panic attacks just thinking about going to work. Don't let them kill your spirit. Start looking for something else, even if it's just a lateral move. Your mental health is worth more than that measly bonus.

Five years is a long time. Maybe you're just hitting the wall? Sales is always high pressure, no matter where you go. Have you tried talking to your manager about your concerns? Maybe there's some wiggle room on targets, or maybe you could explore a different role within the company? Before you jump ship, see if there are any options you haven't considered. Document everything though, just in case. Good luck.
