Is anyone else feeling the pressure with Q4 targets?

Hey everyone, been working at Comcast for a few years now, and this Q4 feels... different. The pressure to hit targets is absolutely insane. My manager is talking about 'strategic realignment' and 'optimizing resources,' which usually doesn't bode well. Feels like a lot of us are walking on eggshells. Anyone else in a similar boat? Seeing any red flags or unusual meetings popping up in your departments? Trying to gauge if it's just my team or a wider thing. The buzz about other companies doing layoffs is definitely in the back of my mind, and it's hard not to worry when the performance metrics get dialed up this high, especially with no clear direction on what exactly 'optimization' means for us on the ground.

Yeah, Q4 is always a crunch, but this year feels particularly intense. The language about 'realignment' definitely sets off alarm bells. Seems like a lot of departments are being asked to do more with less, and the uncertainty is palpable. Totally feel this. The pressure cooker is definitely cranked up this quarter. My department has seen a few 'urgent' meetings that felt more like veiled warnings than collaborative sessions. It's tough when the focus is solely on hitting numbers and not on the impact it has on morale. Stay vigilant and look out for your colleagues.
