Yeah, I've definitely seen something similar. My department's been trying to bring on new people for a few key positions, and the process has become ridiculously slow. We were told the same thing about budgets being under review. It's making things really tough, especially when existing staff are already overloaded. It makes you wonder what the long-term plan is if they're not investing in new talent right now. Hopefully, it's just a temporary lull and things will pick up soon.
I haven't experienced it directly in terms of hiring, but I've heard rumblings from colleagues in other departments about budget constraints and extended approval times for everything, not just headcount. It feels like the company is tightening its belt across the board. If hiring is indeed slowing down, I hope it doesn't negatively impact the customer experience or lead to burnout for the current employees who are already doing the heavy lifting. Definitely a bit concerning.
