Is the 'reorg' talk more than just rumors?

Been hearing a lot of chatter around 'strategic realignments' and 'efficiency improvements' lately. Honestly, it sounds like corporate speak for something bigger. My team's workload has definitely ramped up, but we're not seeing any new headcount. Instead, there are whispers about certain departments being merged or restructured. It feels like they're trying to consolidate roles and maybe trim some fat without making a big splash. I'm in customer service, and the pressure to hit metrics is insane, but the support structure feels like it's being dismantled piece by piece. Has anyone else experienced this? Are these 'reorgs' actually leading to people being let go, or just a lot of shuffling and increased stress? Trying to figure out if I should start updating my resume or just brace for more change.

I've been hearing the same things. It feels like a lot of rearranging without clear communication about the *why*. My department has been tasked with taking on responsibilities that were previously handled by another group, and nobody's really explained how this is supposed to improve efficiency in the long run. Just feels like more work dumped on us with no extra resources. Hoping it's not going to lead to a lot of unnecessary stress or job losses down the line, but the lack of transparency is definitely unsettling.
