I went through a layoff with them a few years back, similar tenure. I got two weeks per year of service, plus they paid out accrued vacation time. They also extended health benefits for a couple of months. Definitely brush up your resume *now*, network like crazy, and start looking at other opportunities. Being proactive is the best way to combat the anxiety. Good luck, hope it doesn't come to that!
Honestly, don't get your hopes up too high. Comcast isn't known for being overly generous. Five years *might* get you something decent, but read the fine print carefully. They'll likely try to get you to sign a very broad release of claims in exchange for the package. Consider consulting with an employment lawyer *before* you sign anything. It's worth the investment to protect yourself.
