Anyone else feel the pressure at Con Ed lately?

Hey everyone, just wanted to see if I'm alone here or if others are feeling the same vibe at Con Ed. Been with the company for a few years now, and lately things just feel... different. More meetings, more pressure to hit metrics that seem a bit out of reach, and a general sense of uncertainty. I haven't heard any concrete rumors about layoffs, but the atmosphere is definitely tense. Projects are getting cut, and some departments seem to be consolidating or losing resources. Is this just the nature of the utility industry right now, or is something brewing specifically at Con Ed? Curious to hear what others are observing on the ground.

Yeah, I'm feeling it too. Seems like the workload has ramped up considerably, and the expectations are higher than ever without a clear increase in support. It’s a bit unsettling when you're not sure what’s coming next, and the constant focus on metrics can feel like running on a treadmill that keeps speeding up. Just trying to keep my head down and do good work, but it's getting harder to ignore the underlying tension.

Definitely noticing the change. It feels like there's a new emphasis on efficiency, which is fine, but the way it's being implemented feels a bit chaotic. More meetings and strategic planning sessions are happening, but it's not always clear how they translate into practical changes on the ground. The uncertainty is the worst part – makes it tough to plan long-term or feel truly secure in your position.
