Just saw the official notification hit the board regarding the 176 roles impacted as of today, June 6th. Honestly, it feels like the steady erosion we’ve been dreading since the start of the year. I know several folks in the affected departments, and the mood here is absolutely gutted. We keep hearing the ‘operational efficiency’ buzzwords from leadership, but it feels like they’re just stripping the skeleton of the company while the workload for those left behind continues to climb. Is there any indication that this is the final wave, or are we expecting another round of 'streamlining' in Q3? If you’re one of the 176, I’m truly sorry. Does anyone have info on severance packages or if they’re offering any outplacement support? It’s hard to stay focused on the grid when the floor feels like it's falling out from under us.

It is honestly becoming impossible to keep morale up when every month brings another round of announcements like this. We are being told to do more with less, but eventually, the sheer volume of work becomes unmanageable. Watching talented colleagues get walked out the door under the guise of efficiency is demoralizing. At this point, it feels like the company is prioritizing quarterly optics over the actual infrastructure and the people who keep the lights on. I really fear for what the remaining workload will look like by the end of the year.

I've been bracing for this since January, but seeing the numbers in black and white today still stings. It is classic corporate maneuvering—cut the staff, claim it is for long-term growth, and leave the survivors to pick up the slack without any increase in resources. They talk about modernization, but it feels like they are just trimming everything that makes this place functional. I feel terrible for those who got the notice today, but the uncertainty for the rest of us is almost just as bad.
