Is it just me or is the workload increasing without clear strategy?

Been at Con Ed for a while, and lately it feels like we're being asked to do more with less, but nobody's really explaining *why*. Projects are getting prioritized, then de-prioritized. Deadlines seem to shift, and there's a lot of pressure to meet them, but the underlying strategic rationale isn't always clear. It makes it hard to feel motivated when you're putting in the extra hours and aren't sure if it's truly contributing to the company's goals or just spinning wheels. I've heard some chatter about departments being 'streamlined' or 'optimized,' but again, zero concrete information. It feels like we're being set up for something, whether it's a major overhaul or just a reshuffling of priorities. Has anyone else noticed this trend, or am I just in a bubble with my team? Curious to hear if others are experiencing the same lack of strategic clarity and increased demands.
