Cummins: Anyone else noticing a hiring freeze?

Hey everyone, been seeing a lot of requisitions get put on hold or just go completely silent over the past few weeks. My manager even mentioned that new hires are being evaluated much more stringently, almost like a de facto freeze. I know there's been chatter about potential layoffs, but this hiring slowdown feels more concrete. It's making me a bit nervous about job security, even though no official announcements have been made. Wondering if anyone else in other departments or locations are seeing the same thing. Is this a company-wide thing, or specific to certain divisions? Any insights would be appreciated.

Yeah, I've definitely felt that too. Been trying to get some roles filled in my team and it's been an uphill battle. Everything seems to be taking way longer than usual, and the approval process is incredibly rigorous. It's a bit concerning, especially with the whispers going around. Makes you wonder what's really going on behind the scenes.

Interesting you bring this up. We're seeing something similar in my department. It feels like a hiring slowdown, if not a full freeze. Candidates are getting put on hold indefinitely, and new positions aren't being opened. It's creating a lot of uncertainty, and frankly, a bit of anxiety for those of us already here. Hoping for some clarity soon.
