Is it just me or is compensation feeling stagnant?

Been with Cummins for a few years now, and while I appreciate the stability, I can't shake the feeling that my salary and overall compensation haven't kept pace with the market, or even inflation for that matter. Especially seeing what's going on in tech and even other manufacturing sectors, it feels like we're falling behind. Promotions seem to be harder to come by, and when they do happen, the bump isn't always what you'd expect. Anyone else feel this way? Is it a company-wide thing, or are some divisions/roles doing better than others? Curious to hear what others are experiencing, especially with the current economic climate.

Anyone else seeing quiet tremors at Cummins?

Just wanted to see if anyone else is picking up on anything, or if it's just my department. Been feeling a bit of a chill in the air lately, you know? Noticing fewer new projects starting up, and some folks are suddenly very quiet about their long-term roles. Heard some whispers about hiring freezes in certain engineering groups, but nothing concrete. Management's been pretty tight-lipped, just the usual 'business as usual' talk. Feels a bit like the calm before a storm, though. Anyone else in the industrials/engine space seeing similar signs, maybe at other companies or specifically within Cummins divisions?

Severance package questions - if it comes to it

Okay, so no official announcements yet at Cummins, but let's be real, the signs are there for some departments. I'm in a support role, been here 4 years, and my team has already seen some restructuring. If the worst happens, I want to be prepared. Does anyone have experience with Cummins severance packages from past events? What's typically included? I'm talking about notice period, pay (how many weeks per year of service?), benefits continuation, outplacement services, etc. Is there a standard formula, or is it negotiated? Also, any advice on what to push for if you're offered a package? Don't want to leave money or support on the table if I suddenly find myself looking for a new gig. Any insights would be super helpful right now.

Anyone else feeling the unease? Lots of whispers lately...

Hey all, been with Cummins for about 7 years now, currently in the advanced engineering group. Lately, the vibe in the office (and on Teams calls) has been... off. Seeing a lot of senior folks looking stressed, and there are definitely more 'reorganizations' and 'synergies' being thrown around than usual. No official word, of course, but the rumor mill is churning pretty hard. My manager is being tight-lipped, which usually means something's up. Just wondering if anyone else in different departments or locations are picking up on the same signals? Trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or just specific divisions. Anyone have any intel or just feeling the same pre-layoff jitters? Just trying to prepare myself mentally, I guess.
