Morale seems low... is anyone else feeling it?

Just wanted to vent a little, but also see if I'm alone. The vibe around here lately feels... off. People seem more stressed, less communicative, and the usual office banter is pretty quiet. I've overheard a few hushed conversations that hint at uncertainty, though nothing concrete about layoffs. It's hard to put my finger on it exactly, but it feels like there's a general sense of unease. Maybe it's just the economic climate in general, but it seems amplified internally. Has anyone else picked up on this? Is it just my department, or is the company-wide morale taking a hit? Curious to hear if others are experiencing something similar.

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling it too. The energy has been noticeably different the past few weeks. It's like everyone's walking on eggshells, and the usual collaboration feels strained. I've noticed more people staying late but also looking more drained. It's understandable given the broader economic outlook, but it's tough when it hits the workplace atmosphere so heavily. Hoping things pick up soon.

I can relate. It's hard to pinpoint, but there's a definite shift in the air. Less spontaneous interaction, more formal emails, and a general sense of guardedness. I've tried to keep a positive outlook, but it's challenging when the collective mood seems to be leaning towards apprehension. It makes it difficult to focus on the work when there's an underlying tension.
