Datadog - Anyone else seeing a slowdown in hiring/projects?

Hey everyone, just wanted to see if others at DDog are feeling a bit of a chill in the air. Not hearing any official layoff news, thankfully, but I've definitely noticed a slowdown in hiring for some teams and a general hesitancy to kick off new, big projects. My team's been told to focus on optimization and efficiency, which is fine, but it feels different from the usual growth-oriented push. Have you guys seen similar trends? Is it just my corner of the company, or is this a broader sentiment? Curious to hear what others are observing, especially in engineering and sales.

Yeah, I've definitely felt a similar vibe on my team. We're also being steered more towards refining existing features and internal tooling rather than launching brand new initiatives. It's not necessarily a bad thing, as there are definitely areas ripe for improvement, but it does feel like a shift from the usual rapid expansion mode. It's good to hear it's not just us being overly cautious.

Interesting to hear others are noticing this too. While my immediate group hasn't been explicitly told to halt new projects, there's definitely a more scrutinizing eye on resource allocation and ROI for any proposed new work. The focus feels more on solidifying what we have and making it more robust, which I suppose is a natural progression as the company matures. Less of a 'build at all costs' mentality, perhaps.
