Anyone else feeling like a sitting duck at Dell right now?

Seriously, the anxiety is through the roof. I've been with Dell for almost 7 years, started as an L2 support engineer and worked my way up to a systems admin role. I've always gotten good performance reviews, but that doesn't seem to matter anymore, does it? Every meeting feels like it could be *the* meeting. I keep hearing whispers about 'restructuring' and 'streamlining', which we all know is code for layoffs. My team seems safe *ish* (cloud infrastructure), but who knows for how long. I'm starting to update my resume and brush up on my interviewing skills, just in case. Anyone else feeling this way? What are you doing to prepare?

I hear you. Been there, done that at a different company. The uncertainty is the worst part. My advice? Dust off your resume and start networking. Even if you love your job, having options is empowering. Update your LinkedIn, reach out to old colleagues, and see what's out there. Knowledge is power, and knowing your market value can ease some of that anxiety. Good luck!

Seriously? Cloud infrastructure is usually the *last* place they cut. It's the future of everything! Unless you're seeing concrete signs (like your manager acting weird or projects being canceled), you might just be caught up in the general company-wide angst. Dell is a huge company; there's always *some* kind of restructuring going on somewhere. Try to focus on what you *can* control and ignore the noise.
