Anyone else nervous about Q3 performance reviews? Heard some rumblings...

Okay, so I've been at Dell for almost 7 years, mostly in sales operations. Usually, Q3 reviews are just a formality, but I've heard from a few folks on other teams (mostly ISG side) that things are looking...intense. Like, 'exceeds expectations' is now the baseline, and anything less is a red flag. My manager has been extra 'helpful' lately, which, honestly, makes me even MORE nervous. Anyone else getting this vibe? Or am I just being paranoid? I've seen the writing on the wall before and now I'm getting worried. Is it time to refresh the resume and start passively looking?

Yeah, I'm feeling it too. In CSG, and the pressure to hit targets has been insane this quarter. They keep moving the goalposts, and it feels like no matter how hard you work, it's never enough. I'm not sure what the higher-ups are expecting, but it's definitely taking a toll on morale. Maybe it's just the usual end-of-year push, but this feels different. Stay strong, friend!

Honestly, I think you might be overreacting a bit. Dell always has performance pressures, especially in Q3. My advice? Document EVERYTHING you've accomplished, quantify your impact whenever possible, and be ready to articulate your value during the review. If you've been consistently performing, you should be fine. Don't let the rumors psych you out before you even get there!
