Anyone got the axe in Government & Public Services (GPS)?

Just trying to get a pulse check... I'm in the GPS practice and have heard some scuttlebutt about potential restructuring. Specifically, rumors about overlaps in certain service lines that might lead to headcount reductions. Anyone in GPS actually been laid off in the past week or so? Or know anyone who has? I'm trying to figure out if this is real or just the usual pre-performance review jitters. My manager has been radio silent, which is making me even more nervous. If anyone has any concrete information, please share. Even if it's just confirming or denying the rumors, it would be helpful.

GPS is always a bit of a rollercoaster, especially near review time. I haven't heard anything concrete about layoffs this week, but that doesn't mean it's not happening somewhere. Honestly, it's probably a good idea to dust off your resume and start networking a bit, just in case. Better to be prepared than blindsided, right? Good luck!

Take everything you hear with a grain of salt. Restructuring rumors are practically a quarterly tradition at Deloitte. Overlaps in service lines? That's been 'the story' for years. People always get jumpy before reviews. Unless you see official announcements, don't lose sleep over it. My advice? Focus on delivering good work and try not to get caught up in the gossip mill.
