I wouldn't jump to conclusions just yet. Calendar glitches happen all the time, especially with systems like Outlook. Before panicking, try reaching out to your colleague directly via Teams or phone to see if they're okay. Maybe they're having technical issues on their end. It's always better to confirm before letting anxiety take over.
Empty calendar = layoff red flag is a bit of a stretch, IMO. Probably just a system error, or maybe your colleague just reorganized their calendar and hasn't updated everyone yet. Occam's razor, people! If you're *really* worried, casually ask around if anyone else noticed anything similar, but try not to spread unnecessary panic.
