Hey everyone, been working at Devon for a few years now, and lately, the atmosphere feels a bit… tense. No official announcements, but there's a lot of whispers about potential 'streamlining' or 'efficiency improvements.' It's hard to ignore when you see certain roles being less emphasized, or a general slowdown in hiring for some teams. I'm in upstream, and we've seen some shifts in project scope that make me wonder. Is anyone else in a similar boat? Feels like management might be preparing for some sort of workforce adjustment, even if it's not outright layoffs. Just looking for honest observations from fellow employees. What are you seeing on the ground? Any departments feeling the pinch more than others?
