Has anyone heard anything regarding the package details for the group let go on New Year’s Day? I know a few folks impacted by the 76-person reduction in the Philly office, but it’s been radio silence on whether they’re offering anything beyond the standard WARN-required pay. It feels like they really tried to bury this news by dropping it right at the start of the holiday week. I’m honestly just trying to gauge if I should be dusting off my resume again. Everyone keeps saying we are 'lean and mean' but this feels more like a slow burn towards something bigger. If you’re willing to share (anonymously, of course), what were the terms? Trying to figure out if it’s time to jump ship before the next inevitable announcement comes down the pipeline in Q2.

The timing of that reduction was absolutely intentional. Dropping news during a holiday week is a classic corporate tactic to minimize public scrutiny and hope people are too distracted to compare notes. If you haven't seen anything official yet, I would strongly advise against waiting for a generous offer. Standard WARN compliance is usually the floor, not the ceiling, for companies playing these games. Start updating that resume immediately; at this point, waiting for clarity is just gambling with your own career security while they keep the remaining staff in the dark.

I was talking to a few people from the Philly office, and the vibe is pretty grim. There hasn't been a peep about anything beyond the absolute bare minimum required by law. Honestly, the 'lean' narrative is just code for perpetual uncertainty at this point. If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't hold my breath for a substantial package. These shifts rarely come with extra goodwill. Get your LinkedIn polished and start networking quietly—it’s better to be overprepared for a move than caught off guard when the next round of 'rightsizing' happens.
