Anyone else feeling the axe at Disney?

Just saw the news about another round of layoffs hitting Disney, supposedly around 1k this time. Feels like it's been a constant drumbeat of cuts for a while now, especially in TV and film. I'm in one of the affected departments and the uncertainty is brutal. Management keeps talking about 'efficiency' and 'streamlining,' but it just translates to more work for fewer people and a constant fear of being next. My team is already stretched thin, and now we're bracing for more. Has anyone else been impacted? How are you all coping? Trying to stay positive and network, but it's tough when the company culture seems to be shifting towards pure cost-cutting.

Yeah, it's been rough to watch from the outside too. The constant talk of restructuring and efficiency always feels a bit ominous, doesn't it? It's understandable why people are feeling anxious when there's so much churn. Hope things stabilize for you and your colleagues soon; it's a tough environment when job security feels so precarious.

Absolutely. The 'efficiency' buzzwords are a classic sign that cuts are coming. It's a shame when talented people end up bearing the brunt of these corporate decisions. There's a lot of nostalgia and love for Disney, but the business side seems to be in a very different headspace right now. Sending solidarity to everyone impacted.
