I've heard different things from different people, and I want to be prepared, just in case. Specifically, does tenure factor in significantly? I've been here for 12 years, so I'm hoping that would translate to something substantial. Also, does anyone know if they typically offer outplacement services? Okay, I need to rant. Been working in post-production at a studio for almost a decade. The workload has tripled, resources have been slashed, and yet, somehow, we're still expected to churn out content at the same rate? The pay hasn't kept pace with inflation either. They treat us like we should be grateful to work for the Mouse, but honestly, the magic is gone. It's just a grind now. I see so many talented people burning out and leaving, and it's honestly depressing. Is it just me, or is the Disney brand losing its shine? I'm ready to jump ship but the job market is scary… especially in SoCal.

Seriously, I'm so done with the corporate BS. Been with the company (Imagineering) for 12 years, and it feels like everything's just slowly dying. They keep talking about 'innovation' and 'the future of entertainment,' but all I see is cutting corners and squeezing every last penny out of existing IPs. The passion is gone! Remember when we actually CARED about making something amazing? Now it's all about hitting arbitrary metrics and pleasing some out-of-touch executive. I'm burnt out, underpaid, and frankly, insulted. I'm not even sure what I'm good at anymore other than surviving pointless meetings. I started out here so excited, now I just feel like a cog in a machine. I need a vacation. Or a new career. Or maybe just a very strong drink.

Hypothetically speaking, if Disney were to do another round of layoffs (knock on wood), what kind of severance package are we talking about? I've heard whispers of two weeks per year of service, but that seems low compared to other companies. I'm in production, been here for 5 years.
