Worried about potential upcoming reorg - anyone else?

I'm in marketing, been with the company for about 7 years now. Lately, there's been a lot of closed-door meetings and vague pronouncements from upper management about "restructuring for the future." It all feels eerily similar to what happened before the big layoffs a few years back (at ESPN). I know they keep saying everything's fine, but my gut is telling me something's brewing. Anyone else feeling this way in their department? Specifically looking to hear from people in the parks/consumer products division to see if you have heard similar rumblings. I'm starting to dust off my resume, just in case. Not sure if I could take another round of this uncertainty.

Totally get where you're coming from. Been through similar cycles at other companies. "Restructuring" is corporate code for cost-cutting, unfortunately. Seven years is a long time, so start dusting off your resume just in case. Update your LinkedIn and discreetly reach out to contacts. It's always better to be prepared than caught off guard. Even if nothing happens, you'll have a head start. Good luck!

Honestly, I think people are reading too much into things. Disney's always tweaking and shifting things around. It's a massive company! Plus, the whole streaming thing is still relatively new territory for them. They're going to experiment. I wouldn't panic just yet. Unless you start seeing actual pink slips, take a deep breath and focus on your work. Worrying won't change anything, and it'll only make you miserable.
