Just saw the news about the 639 layoffs on June 17th. Seems like a significant number, even if it's not the 1000 figures we've seen in the past. I'm trying to get a sense of which teams or departments were most affected this time around. Anyone have any inside info or know which areas took the biggest hits? Was it tech, operations, marketing, or spread across the board? It's always tough seeing these numbers, and it makes you wonder about the company's direction and stability. Trying to prepare myself mentally, and knowing which parts of the org are impacted might give some insight. Any information would be appreciated.

Heard it was pretty widespread, unfortunately. Saw some chatter suggesting a lot of the user trust and safety teams were impacted, which is concerning given the importance of that function. Operations and some product management roles seemed to be mentioned too. It's a tough situation all around, and it's understandable to be worried about what it means for the future.

From what I've gathered, it wasn't just one specific department. It seemed like a mix, hitting several areas including engineering and customer support, with some marketing roles also affected. The goal appears to be streamlining operations and focusing on core business areas. It's never easy to see this happen, and I hope those affected land on their feet quickly.
