Another round of 'right-sizing'—does it ever end?

Is it just me, or does it feel like we’re perpetually being restructured? Every few months there’s a new memo about 'simplifying operations' or 'aligning with long-term growth,' but the only thing that actually changes is that I’m picking up the slack for three different roles now. Seeing the news about the Michigan site impact just confirms that no office is safe, regardless of what leadership says during the town halls. They talk about efficiency, but the institutional knowledge walking out the door is staggering. I’ve been here long enough to see the culture erode, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to stay motivated when you’re constantly looking over your shoulder wondering if you’re next on the spreadsheet. Has anyone actually seen a positive outcome from these pivots, or are we just watching the ship get stripped for parts while they talk about AI and automation?

It is honestly exhausting. Every time they announce a new round of 'simplification,' the workload for those of us left behind just doubles. Watching talented people get pushed out the door while management drones on about growth in the town halls feels like a slap in the face. The culture here has shifted from innovation to constant survival mode, and it is killing morale across every department. At this point, I don’t think anyone believes the promises coming from the top anymore.

I have been here for years, and the constant flux has really changed the vibe of the workplace. It used to feel like we were building something, but now it just feels like we are waiting for the next shoe to drop. Losing good people is the hardest part because you lose all that expertise, and the company just expects us to keep the lights on with half the staff. The Michigan news was just another indicator that nobody is really protected, despite the slogans.
