Anyone else still in shock after the June 17 cuts?

I’ve been with the company for over five years, and honestly, the morale here has hit absolute rock bottom. Getting the invite for the 'all-hands' meeting on Monday felt like a punch to the gut because we all knew exactly what was coming. Watching 639 of our colleagues lose their access in a matter of hours is just brutal. The leadership team keeps throwing around words like 'streamlining' and 'operational efficiency,' but it feels like we’re just cutting muscle to pay for failing initiatives that were never going to scale in the first place. I’m sitting here looking at my calendar, and half the meetings I had scheduled for this week are now orphaned because the leads were cut. It’s hard to stay focused when you’re constantly looking over your shoulder wondering if you’re next on the chopping block. For those who stayed, what’s the consensus? Are we just waiting for the next round in Q4, or is there any actual plan to pivot? My manager was useless during our 1:1, just reciting the same boilerplate HR script. If anyone has heard anything about how the remaining teams are being restructured or if there’s a total freeze on internal mobility, please share. I’m just trying to decide if it’s time to start polishing the resume or if I should hunker down and hope for the best.

I was one of the ones cut, and the way they handled it was beyond disrespectful. Five years of dedication, hitting every target, only to have my access revoked while I was mid-task. They act like we’re just line items on a spreadsheet rather than actual human beings. It’s not just the job loss, it’s the complete lack of humanity in the process. I’m done with this culture, and honestly, good luck to those who are left trying to pick up the pieces under a leadership team that clearly doesn't value a single person here.

It is honestly surreal watching the company spiral like this. I’ve been watching the turnover from the sidelines, and every time they use buzzwords like 'operational efficiency,' I just laugh. You can’t 'streamline' your way out of poor strategic choices. The silence from management is deafening, and the ones who remain are terrified that their desk will be the next one cleared out. This isn't how you run a business, and morale is non-existent because nobody feels safe or valued anymore. It feels like we are just waiting for the next shoe to drop.
