This is BS. I'm so burnt out.

Seriously, I'm so over this place. I've been busting my butt in engineering for the past 5 years, putting in extra hours, taking on extra projects, and for what? To constantly feel like I'm not doing enough? The pressure is insane, the deadlines are unrealistic, and the communication is terrible. They keep piling on more work with fewer resources. And now all this layoff talk? I'm so ready to find a new job where I'm actually appreciated and valued. This company is going downhill fast.

I hear you. Been there, done that (though in a different field). It's brutal when you pour everything into a job and it feels like it's never enough. The constant pressure cooker environment is unsustainable long term. Start quietly exploring your options now, update your resume, and see what's out there. Having a plan B (or C) can make the daily grind feel a little less suffocating.

Layoff rumors are the WORST. Everyone starts watching their back and productivity tanks. While I understand your frustration, maybe take a step back and analyze the situation. Is it truly the company, or are you contributing to the pressure? Sometimes we set unrealistic expectations for ourselves. Either way, documenting your accomplishments and finding a mentor could help you navigate the current situation and potentially improve things.
