Elevance Health: Anyone else seeing a shift in priorities lately?

Hey everyone, been with Elevance for a few years now and things have felt a bit... different the last quarter or so. Project scopes seem to be shifting mid-stream more often, and there's a lot of emphasis on "efficiency" and "streamlining." Not hearing any direct layoff chatter, but the vibe is definitely changing. Feels like leadership is getting us ready for something, or maybe just trying to cut costs indirectly through reorganizations. Anyone else noticing this? What are your teams doing to adapt? Just trying to get a pulse on things and see if this is a company-wide thing or just my department feeling the pressure. Trying to stay positive but it's hard when the goalposts keep moving and there's a general sense of unease.

I've definitely noticed a similar trend. The focus on 'efficiency' feels like a buzzword that's masking a deeper push to consolidate resources or perhaps even prepare for market shifts. We're seeing more cross-functional teams being asked to absorb work from areas that previously had dedicated staff. It's creating some interesting collaboration, but also a lot of uncertainty about long-term roles and responsibilities. Hope it's just a phase of optimization, but the 'getting ready for something' feeling is palpable.

Yeah, 'streamlining' is the word of the day over here too. It feels like we're constantly being asked to do more with less, and while some of that is healthy process improvement, there's a definite undercurrent of apprehension. The communication from leadership isn't always clear about the 'why' behind these changes, which fuels the speculation. I'm just trying to stay focused on delivering value and documenting my contributions, hoping that visibility will help navigate whatever comes next.
