Elevance Health: Performance review cycle changes – what does it mean?

Hey everyone, has anyone else at Elevance noticed the shift in how performance reviews are being handled this year? It feels like the criteria have gotten a lot stricter, and the emphasis is really being placed on 'impact' and 'efficiency' in a way that wasn't as pronounced before. My manager is being cagey, just saying it's 'aligning with strategic goals,' but it feels like there's more to it. I'm trying to figure out if this is a company-wide thing or just my department. It's making me a bit anxious, especially with all the whispers about restructuring and budget tightening. Wondering if anyone else is seeing similar changes or has any insights into what Elevance might be signaling with these adjustments. Is this just standard corporate evolution, or is it a precursor to something bigger? Trying to prepare myself either way.

Yeah, I've definitely seen a similar shift here at Elevance. The focus on 'impact' feels a lot more intense, and it's making it harder to gauge expectations. It's less about ticking boxes and more about demonstrating tangible outcomes, which is a tougher metric to consistently hit. My team is also struggling to get clear guidance, so I'm curious to see how this plays out for everyone.

Interesting to hear this from another part of Elevance. My understanding is that the leadership is trying to drive a more results-oriented culture across the board. The 'strategic goals' are definitely the driving force behind these changes, aiming to ensure everyone's efforts are directly contributing to the company's bottom line. It's a challenging adjustment, but perhaps a necessary one for future growth.
