EOG Resources - Thinking about career options outside

Not trying to be alarmist, but given the current energy market and the quietness at EOG lately, I've started passively updating my resume and looking around. It feels prudent. Haven't seen any official layoff announcements, and I know the company has weathered storms before, but the lack of clear communication about future plans is making me a bit anxious. Anyone else in a similar boat? Are you seeing any signs of belts tightening that I might be missing? Just trying to get a sense of the general sentiment and if I'm overreacting. Appreciate any insights or experiences from fellow EOG folks.

I'm feeling similar jitters. The industry certainly feels uncertain right now, and while EOG has a strong track record, the lack of overt communication about upcoming projects or strategies does create a sense of unease. I've also been keeping an eye on external opportunities, more out of a desire for preparedness than immediate panic. It's wise to have a pulse on the market and your options, especially when the professional atmosphere feels a bit muted. Hoping for some clarity soon.
