Anyone else feeling like a sitting duck at Ford right now?

Been with Ford for almost 8 years now, in engineering. The constant talk about 'restructuring' and 'efficiency' is making me super anxious. I keep refreshing the news, expecting to see something official. My team seems pretty safe, we're slammed with the EV stuff, but you never know, right? Anyone else feeling the same way? What are you guys doing to prepare, just in case? Brushing up the resume, networking, or just trying to ignore the elephant in the room? I almost wish they'd just announce something already, the uncertainty is killing me.

Totally get it. Been there, done that at a different company. The uncertainty is the worst part. My advice? Update your resume and LinkedIn profile, just in case. Even if you're not actively looking, it's good practice and keeps you ready. Networking is key, too. Reach out to old colleagues and contacts. It might not lead to anything immediately, but building those relationships can be invaluable down the line. Good luck, hang in there.

Honestly, this happens every few years at Ford. 'Efficiency' is code for 'someone's getting the axe.' Your EV work probably *does* give you some insulation, but don't get complacent. I'd spend some time quietly documenting your accomplishments and contributions – quantifiable results, specific projects, etc. That'll be much easier to do now than if (when?) things get chaotic. And yeah, a little resume polish never hurts.
