Anyone else feeling the uncertainty with Ford's EV push?

Seeing a lot of noise online lately about Ford shifting focus, especially with the EV side of things. Some articles mentioning temporary layoffs tied to the F-150 Lightning production, which is a bit concerning. I'm in a non-production role, but it makes you wonder what the long-term plan really is. Are we prioritizing EVs so much that it impacts other divisions? Heard some talk about restructuring and 'efficiency drives' that always seem to translate into headcount adjustments down the line. Just trying to get a pulse on what's actually happening beyond the press releases. Anyone in a similar boat or have insights into how this EV pivot might affect salaried positions?

It's definitely a tricky balancing act. They're making huge investments in EVs, which is necessary, but you can't just ignore the established gasoline models that are still paying the bills. Layoffs, even temporary ones, are never a good sign and spark a lot of internal discussion about priorities. It feels like they're trying to steer a giant ship in a new direction, and there's bound to be some turbulence along the way. Hopefully, it's just growing pains and not a fundamental shift away from what's currently successful.
