Ford's EV transition is causing major job anxiety

I'm starting to get genuinely concerned about my role here at Ford, especially with the company's heavy push into EVs. While the strategic shift makes sense from a business perspective, the execution seems to be leading to a lot of uncertainty on the ground. We've seen various layoff announcements and reports over the past year, some tied to production line changes (like the F-150 issues) and others impacting salaried and contract workers. My fear is that these are just the initial tremors before a larger shake-up. The skills needed for EV development and manufacturing are different, and I'm wondering how many current roles will be phased out rather than transitioned. Has anyone been through a similar company-wide pivot before? How did it impact job security and what steps did you take to prepare? I'm trying to stay positive and focus on my work, but the constant news cycle about layoffs and restructuring is definitely taking a toll on morale.
