Hearing whispers about upcoming 'realignments' at Ford - anyone else?

Hey everyone, I've been seeing a lot of chatter on some industry forums and LinkedIn lately about Ford undergoing some kind of 'reorganization' or 'strategic realignment'. It's all pretty vague, no official announcements, but the vibe feels... off. Some posts hint at cuts in specific departments, especially those not directly tied to the EV push or the core truck business. I work in a support function, and my team's been tasked with some 'efficiency reviews' that feel like they could be a prelude to something bigger. Just wondering if anyone else has picked up on this or has any more concrete information? Trying to gauge how worried I should be.

Yeah, I've heard similar murmurs. It seems like a lot of legacy automakers are feeling the pressure to pivot quickly, especially with the EV transition. Fingers crossed it doesn't impact too many people negatively, but 'efficiency reviews' can definitely be a sign of things to come. Hopefully, it's just streamlining and not a major upheaval.

Definitely getting that vibe too. The automotive industry is in such a state of flux right now, it's hard for any company to stand still. Ford's focus on trucks and EVs makes sense strategically, but it means other areas might need to be re-evaluated. Makes you wonder where they see their biggest growth opportunities.
