Franklin Templeton - Anyone heard whispers about potential restructuring?

Posting anonymously here because obviously, but I've been at FT for a few years now and I'm starting to get a bad feeling. There's been a lot of talk internally about "strategic realignment" and "optimizing resources." Sounds like corporate speak for something else, right? My manager is being super cagey when I ask about future team plans, just vague assurances. I've also seen some senior roles being consolidated or eliminated in adjacent divisions. It's not a direct layoff announcement, but the pieces feel like they're being put in place. Has anyone else picked up on this? Any intel from different regions or business lines? Trying to gauge if this is widespread or just a localized issue I'm overthinking. Just want to be prepared.

I've been keeping an eye on FT as well. Those terms like 'strategic realignment' definitely raise eyebrows. It's concerning when management gets evasive about team plans. The consolidation of senior roles is a red flag, even if it's not outright layoffs yet. It suggests a shift in priorities or a cost-cutting measure. Hopefully, it's just a standard business review, but the lack of transparency is unsettling for employees.

Heard similar rumblings. The 'optimizing resources' phrase is a classic precursor to some changes, often not for the better from an employee perspective. My friend who works in a different department mentioned some departments being merged. While they're saying it's for efficiency, it often leads to duplicated roles being cut. It's understandable why you'd be feeling uneasy, especially with the cagey responses from leadership.
