Franklin Templeton - Is anyone else seeing weird hiring freezes?

Curious if this is just my team or if it's a broader thing at Franklin Templeton. We had a few requisitions open for critical roles that were suddenly put on hold indefinitely a few weeks back. No real explanation, just 'budgetary constraints' and 're-evaluation of needs.' It feels like a soft hiring freeze to me, which usually precedes layoffs down the line. Has anyone else experienced this or heard similar stories from other departments? It's making planning for Q3 and Q4 really difficult and adding to the general anxiety around here. Trying to gauge if this is a company-wide move or isolated incidents.

Yeah, I've definitely heard some rumblings about hiring slowing down across the board. It's not just your team, unfortunately. Seems like a lot of companies are getting more cautious with their spending right now, and unfortunately, that often starts with headcount. It's a tough situation when you can't get clear answers about why things are stalling out, especially when it impacts your ability to get work done. Hopefully, it's a temporary situation and things pick back up soon.
