GE Aero - Performance reviews feel different this year

Just finished my performance review cycle at GE Aerospace, and it felt… off. Usually, it's a pretty standard process, but this time around, there seemed to be a lot more emphasis on 'efficiency' and 'resource optimization'. My manager was careful with their words, but the undertone felt like they were building a case for potential headcount adjustments down the line. I'm wondering if this is a company-wide thing or just specific to my division. We haven't had any official layoff announcements, and GE has been pushing the 'One GE' narrative pretty hard, but these performance review conversations are making me nervous. Has anyone else experienced this shift in tone during their reviews? Is it just the usual end-of-year wrap-up, or are we seeing the early signs of something more significant? Curious to hear if others are feeling the same pressure.
