Hey everyone, Been seeing some chatter on here and other places about potential shifts happening at GE Aerospace. Nothing concrete, no official announcements or anything, but the vibe feels a bit off lately. Some teams seem to be doing a lot more with less, while others are suddenly quiet. Anyone else in Aero picking up on this? I'm in [mention general area like 'aftermarket services' or 'engineering' if you want to be specific but still vague] and we're hearing whispers about 'efficiency drives' and 'streamlining operations'. That usually doesn't end well for headcount. Just trying to get a pulse on the situation before I start updating my resume unnecessarily. I've definitely noticed something similar in my division within Aerospace. It feels like there's a lot of strategic shuffling going on behind the scenes, even if it's not officially communicated. Resources seem to be reallocated quite a bit, and there's a general sense of uncertainty about where things are headed long-term. The 'efficiency drive' talk is definitely circulating, but it's hard to tell if it's just standard business practice or something more significant this time around. Keeping an eye on it.

Yeah, I've heard some of those same whispers. It's that kind of quiet unease that makes you wonder. In my part of Aerospace, we've seen a few projects get put on hold unexpectedly, and there's a feeling that priorities might be shifting faster than usual. The lack of clear communication doesn't help either. Hopefully, whatever changes are coming are for the best and lead to more stability in the long run, but for now, it's definitely a bit of a guessing game for many of us.
