361 Laid Off in Lansing - Is This Just GM's Strategy?

So, another 361 people just got the axe in Lansing. August 14th. This is getting ridiculous. Are we just supposed to accept this as the new normal? Seems like every few months there's another round of layoffs at GM. They talk about investing in EVs and future tech, but then they cut a huge chunk of their workforce. Makes you question the long-term vision or if it's just short-term cost-cutting disguised as 'restructuring'. Anyone know if these roles are being eliminated entirely, or are they trying to redistribute the work? Feels like a kick in the teeth for those affected, especially with the uncertainty surrounding the auto sector. Just venting here, but it's a tough situation.
