Had my final round interview for an Associate position in Investment Banking (Industrials Group) last week. Thought I'd share some points. Mostly behavioral questions. Lots of 'tell me about a time when...' scenarios. Be prepared to talk about deals you've followed (even if it's just news articles). They drilled me on my understanding of valuation multiples. Technicals weren't crazy hard, but definitely need to know your stuff. Biggest advice: be confident and show genuine interest. They can smell BS a mile away. Good luck to anyone else interviewing!

Congrats on making it to the final round! Your experience mirrors mine from a few years back. The 'tell me about a time' questions are HUGE. I prepped by writing out STAR method stories for common leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving scenarios. Definitely helped me stay calm under pressure. Good luck, I hope you get the offer!

Honestly, 'show genuine interest' is code for 'be ready to work insane hours for less pay than you deserve.' Goldman preys on ambitious folks. Make sure you know what you're getting into. Beyond the technical skills, really think about if the lifestyle aligns with your goals. Plenty of other firms out there. Don't get blinded by the name.
