Severance Package Question - Garden Leave?

Hypothetically speaking, if layoffs were to happen (again), does anyone know what the standard severance package looks like these days? Specifically curious about garden leave. Last time, it was X weeks of base + Y weeks per year of service. Is that still the norm? I'm trying to plan ahead, just in case. Seeing some worrying signs in my division. Also, is bonus pro-rated if you get the axe mid-year?

Heard similar rumblings in my team. The X weeks + Y weeks per year sounds about right from what I've heard anecdotally. Garden leave really depends on your role and level; the higher you are, the more likely. As for the bonus, it's usually prorated, but they might claw it back if you jump ship during any garden leave period so keep that in mind. Best of luck, hope you're just being cautious!

Honestly, don't count on anything. They can change the severance package on a whim. Focus on making yourself indispensable instead of planning your exit. And pro-rated bonus? That's not guaranteed, especially if your performance hasn't been stellar. Keep your head down, exceed expectations, and maybe those worrying signs will pass you by.
