Anyone want to share their experience with the outplacement services?

Got laid off last week from a pretty specialized hardware role (been here 8 years). The HR rep mentioned we get access to some outplacement service – resume help, interview coaching, LinkedIn profile review, etc. Has anyone used these services before from Google? Are they actually useful, or just a generic package that doesn't really cater to tech roles? I'm trying to get back out there ASAP but honestly, it's been a while since I've seriously job hunted. Any advice on how to make the most of whatever they offer would be super helpful. Did you find the coaches knowledgeable about the current market? Any success stories?
