Is anyone else just completely checked out at this point?

I’ve been here for over six years, and I used to actually care about the products I worked on. Now? I log on, do the bare minimum, and spend the rest of my time browsing job boards. Every time there’s another 'restructuring' announcement, the morale in my team drops another notch. We keep getting told to 'do more with less' while leadership keeps talking about efficiency and strategic alignment. I’m tired of the corporate speak. They treat us like line items on a spreadsheet, and the recent news about the PNW layoffs just proves that no one is truly safe, regardless of performance ratings. Everyone I know is just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Is there even a point to grinding anymore? I feel like the company culture we all signed up for has been dead for a long time. I’m just waiting for my next RSU vest to hit and then I’m done. Anyone else feeling this level of burnout?

I feel exactly the same way. Six years is a long time, and watching the shift from an engineering-led culture to this metrics-obsessed corporate grind has been brutal. The constant reorgs aren't even about productivity anymore; they just feel like a way to keep everyone off balance. I stopped caring about 'impact' a year ago. Now, I just optimize for my own sanity and wait for my vest. You’re definitely not alone in feeling this way—everyone I talk to in private is already halfway out the door.

It is honestly exhausting. Every town hall meeting is just another masterclass in gaslighting where they use buzzwords to distract from the lack of vision. We all know we are just spreadsheet entries to them. I’ve started prioritizing my personal life and professional development outside of this place because it’s clear the company no longer prioritizes us. If you’re checking out, don’t feel guilty about it. Do what you need to do to protect your peace while you look for the next thing. This environment isn't going to get better.
